Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 July 2026.

SEN Consultancy and Internet Limited ("SEN Consultancy", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it — both through this website and through our client portal and professional services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide directly — through contact forms, the careers application form, client portal registration, appointment booking, and document uploads. This may include your name, email, phone number, company details, and any documents you choose to upload (which may contain tax, financial or personal identification information).
  • Information collected automatically — basic technical data such as browser type, pages visited and general usage patterns, used to keep the site working properly and understand how it's used.
  • Cookies — used to keep you signed in to the client portal (essential) and, where you consent, to understand aggregate site usage.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to enquiries and provide the professional services you engage us for
  • To operate your client portal account, store documents you upload, and manage appointments you book
  • To process career applications
  • To meet our own legal and regulatory obligations, including tax and audit record-keeping requirements
  • To improve this website and the services described on it

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

3. Document Storage & Security

Documents uploaded to the client portal are stored securely and are only accessible to your account and authorized SEN Consultancy staff who need them to deliver your engagement. Downloads are served through an authenticated system that verifies ownership before releasing any file. Passwords are never stored in plain text.

4. Data Sharing

We may share information with regulatory bodies (such as KRA) where required to deliver the specific service you've engaged us for, or where legally obligated to do so. We use third-party service providers (such as hosting and, where enabled, email delivery providers) strictly to operate this website and portal — not for independent marketing use of your data.

5. Your Rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@senconsultancy.co.ke. Note that some data — particularly tax and financial records — may need to be retained for periods required by law even after a deletion request.

6. Data Retention

We retain client documents and records for as long as your engagement is active and for the period thereafter required by applicable tax, audit and company law — after which they are securely deleted.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data can be directed to info@senconsultancy.co.ke or +254 700 123 456.

This policy is a general-purpose template appropriate for a consultancy handling client tax and financial data in Kenya. It is not a substitute for legal advice — have it reviewed by qualified counsel before relying on it as your final, published policy.
